1966 Ford 427 Cobra tribute car (Replica) by Lone Star Classic Cobra! It is titled as a 2007 LS Cobra. It is reported that Loan Star built a bigger and better Cobra Kit than many other Cobra Replica builders. The cockpit is reported to be larger and able to more comfortably accommodate a taller and larger driver. I had a 6'2' man fit perfectly in the car a few days ago. This is a professionally built car with a balanced and blueprinted, early 70's, 351 Windsor engine and automatic transmission with Hurst shifter. The engine was balanced and blueprinted and dyno'd at 350 HorsePower. RJS racing seat belts were added for driver and passenger safety. Header side pipes with safety heat shields were added to keep your legs from getting blisters when getting in and out of this beast. An AFCO Aluminum racing radiator with twin electric fans was installed to keep the engine running cool. A separate aluminum transmission cooler was added in front of the radiator. Aluminum Cobra script valve covers and air cleaner were installed to enhance the look of the engine when the hood is raised. This beast rides on Dunlop G/T QUALIFIER tires with 265/50's on the front and 295/50's on the 9 inch Ford rear-end with 356 gears. This is absolutely a beast on the road and feels like a rocket on takeoff. 1967 Ford Mustang Shelby Cobra GT 350 The current owner has owned this for over 20 yrs. It has had a full nut and bolt rotisserie restoration performed by his shop 14 years ago. The car was built in San Jose California and sold by Marv Tonkin Ford in Portland Oregon. It was bought by a gentleman in Vancouver, Washington for a driver-car going to college. He ordered the car with black exterior paint but when the car came in it was Dark Moss Green. The salesman said take it or leave it, so he purchased the car and took it to a local paint shop to have it painted black. So it ran around for years as being a black car. The current owner did do a DMV title search to find the history of ownership and believes he is the 7th or 8th owner. So here is a quick run down of the car. This car was the 2199th car produced by Shelby American. The close ratio 4-speed transmission is original to the car and is #s matching, clutch is a SACS unit from Germany and the flywheel is of billet steel. The car was originally a hub-cap car but the Magstars were an option. The Magstar in the trunk is an original and has never been on the ground. The NOM 289 Hi-Po engine is date coded correct and has some modifications such as a 20 overbore with Probe Pistons, Eagle H beam rods, a roller rocker top end, and of course mechanical lifters. NO, it does not have valve cover spacers to allow for the roller rockers. The horsepower is approx. 350. Carburator is the 715 CFM. Intake manifold is the original. All of the original internal parts ie, pistons-rods-timing assembly, hatchet counter weight, flywheel and so on will stay with the car. Rear end is the original 9' with 3:89 gears but the current owner did add a traction loc to it. Again, he has all the original parts. Exhaust system is not original and has Magnaflow mufflers, tips are original but re-chromed. All of the chrome ie: door handles, front and rear bumpers etc. are OEM not aftermarket. Rear seat upholstery is original.
